What's the difference between a coyote and a wolf?

Coyotes are smaller and they are lone hunters. Coyote mostly hunt small animals such as rabbits and rodents. The only times they are found with other coyotes are when they pair up during the mating season, and when the mother coyote is raising a litter of pups. Wolves are pack hunters, and a pack consists of an alpha male and female and their adult and subadult offsprings, both male and female. Sometimes a strange wolf may be allowed to join a pack with the alpha male's permission but it is rare.
