My friend is overeducated and underemployed, what should he do?

He has a physics and law degree but he's been unemployed for a really long time. It looks like he's gonna be living with his parents indefinitely. Oh, and he had two misspellings in his resume which I corrected a few months ago, any chance that's the reason he's unemployed?
