What scents and baits for coyote hunting?

me and two friends are going coyote hunting next weekend and i have a cheap johnny stewart electric predator call but i was wondering if i should like put some scents or a dead animal at the call so they don't only have the call, they can see it and smell it. but i was wondering what are the best scents and baits? i can't use a rabbit cause there aren't many where i live.
