Spanish question about word?

A Panamanian woman used the word "canfrejos" in a sentence where it is impossible to figure out what she is talking about. I assume it is a misspelling of "cangrejos". A google search finds 86 uses of the word, but they could all be misspellings as well. Does anyone who speaks fluent Spanish recognize this word?
