My Story Characters....can't decide, help please?

Sorry to burst your bubble, But what i've learned over the years is that its best not to give too much description of your characters. Give your reader a base to start with, then let their imaginations take over. I feel that if im reading a book that explains every last detail of how they look or what they wear, it limits my imaginations and thoughts.
